Hello freaky people of the night,
Fish & Bird took BC by storm this summer with our full-on plugged-in rock band explosion. Armed with Dan McCormack playing the electric bass, Ben Kelly percussing the bejeezes out of a drumkit made partially of a suitcase, Ryan Boeur playing Electric and Acoustic Guitars, and Adam & Taylor being the usual insane fiddle/banjo duo we've all come to know and love, we had a great time at Littlefest in the Slocan Valley, Keep the Beat festival in Nelson BC, Artswells festival in Wells, BC and the Caravan Farm & Theatre's summer concert series in Armstrong, among other splendid stops along the way. Those curious to know what Fish & Bird sounds like in that format are invited to check out this sweet video, taken by Cody Young at the Vancouver East Cultural Centre's reopening.
This fall we are traveling as a four piece across the prairies and back. This time we will be playing with Ryan playing guitar and Zoe Guigeno playing upright bass. Adam and Zoe grew up together and have played in bands together since they were kids, so it will be very exciting to have their musical chemistry added to the Fish & Bird mix.
